Literature Text

I stared at my computer screen with my hands on my face in frustration.

The blank page before me mocked me with every unproductive second.

Suddenly, I began to type words, then a sentence, then two-

   Then stopped.

   And backspaced it all.

Again I stared intently at the screen, waiting for an idea to scream in my ears,

   But my brain stayed silent.

There were no ideas, not a single thought to send to my fingers to type.

I went to another tab and skimmed through other works, skimmed through multiple prompts, skimmed and skimmed searching for a lick of inspiration.

   I found nothing.

I clicked back to the empty page, as it mocked me again.

My fists curled and slammed into the keyboard twice,
    "dfxkzds"

I sighed, and backspaced the nonsense my fists created.

I put my elbows on my desk and my hands under my chin.

Writer's block will be the death of me...

All my creativity was gone, leaving me with nothing but an empty mind.

How long does it take for block to kill a writer?

How long have I been at this desk with an empty page?

Then an idea, the smallest of sparks, twinkled in my brain.

I smiled, cracked my knuckles, and began typing.

"I stared at my computer screen with my hands on my face in frustration..."

I hate writers block.
